In response to a meeting of the United Nations focused on the damage of climate change, the world has been invited to take action in the next ten years to prevent the situation from reaching a point of no return. The fashion industry must be a leader for positive change, while sustainable production methods can drastically reduce pollution. Perhaps the greatest impact can be bringing awareness to the problem and demonstrating that real change is possible.

Sustainability is one of the pillars of the strategy at Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, an association that started advocating sustainability as a basic value of the Italian fashion industry already ten years ago.
