Fashion and luxury are exclusive, internet is for the mass: filorosso aims to connect these real and digital worlds.
Creative Director of filorosso, Marina Aliverti is a fashion and jewelry designer, artist, and photographer.
She lives and works in Cernobbio, on Lake Como, Italy. She is a graduate of the world-class Textile Design Institute in her home town and a third generation descendent of a Como-based entrepreneurial family responsible for the founding of three historical textile companies.
In 1921 her paternal grandfather established Aliverti & Stecchini responsible for silk weaving and the family continued in the 1970s with the founding of the textile printing company, Algesta. Meanwhile, in 1922 her maternal grandfather created I.S.I.S. which specialized in natural and artificial silks and rayon viscose.
She is blessed with extensive design experience in Milan, Paris, London, Rome, and Florence; allowing her to realize an important track-record of collaborations with top fashion players in a wide range of fields including textiles, clothing, accessories, sportswear, and jewelry (Capucci, Colmar, YSL, Dior, Armani, Fürstenberg, Fiorucci, Ferré, etc). Based on her long-time experience and spirit of entrepreneurship, Marina has also developed and designed her own lines of prêt-à-porter (ALISEI and Marina Aliverti), closely following all production steps from start to finish.
As a result, Marina has a long-standing and unrivalled experience within Como’s extraordinary textile universe.
